About the Job:
We are looking to recruit an experienced breakfast chef to help organise our busy early morning breakfast operations at this award-winning restaurant in Portmagee, Co. Kerry, Ireland. You will also be required to work on the mise-en-place list, and preparation of meals for lunch.
Requirements:
- We are looking for an energetic, motivated person who is willing to learn.
- Must have 2-3 years of previous experience and must be keen to progress and learn within our kitchen.
- Must be able to work on your own initiative and consistently show your ability to deliver the very highest quality food.
- Must have completed HACCP Training.
- Ability to prepare and produce food for the area which you are assigned and to the agreed standards in conjunction with the other chefs.
- Ability to manage own and food prep assitants workload to maximise productivity.
- Keen to minimise wastage.
- Ensure all necessary mise-en-place is ready before service.
- Follow rigidly and observe all hygiene regulations.
- Resilient and can work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Dependable with a solutions-based attitude.
- Fluent English is a requirement.
